❤ One in four children are born each year into a family surviving on less than A$2 a day.
❤ In developing countries one in three children is born into abject poverty and conditions of almost unimaginable suffering and need.
❤ Globally, over 500 million children suffer from malnutrition in their first five years.
❤ Four hundred million children never go to school, most of these are girls who will never get the opportunity to read or write.
❤ Over 22 million of children born around the world die before the age of 5, mostly from preventable diseases.

We have partnered with Sydney Care. A non for profit, volunteer based community services organization. Their purpose is to serve people in need in the local community. In February 2009 Sydney Care in response to the Victorian Bushfire Relief sent 160 pallets, over $A2 million worth of bedding, food, china and clothing to Victoria. The Victorian bushfires are ongoing and whole towns have been decimated and families broken. Further dispatches are needed. This is our ground zero support.
We are also supporting ONE MILLION CAN, it is a movement rooted in the belief that each of us doing a little can do a lot.
Some fast facts on how One Million Can is making a difference....
❤ The most pressing issue worldwide is water, 1 billion people worldwide do not have access to clean water. Over 2 million deaths each year are attributed to water related diseases.
❤ Each year, an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 men, women and children are trafficked across international borders, and the trade is growing. Around 70 percent are female and 50 percent are children. The majority of these victims are forced into the commercial sex trade.
❤ The conflict in Northern Uganda has left thousands still confined to IDP refugee camps. Most of these refugees homes and crops have been destroyed, the aim is to resettle these villages.
❤ Life altering surgeries for children in the developing world, with over 125 million children in developing countries requiring surgery to correct disabilities.
